February 6th

Thanks to those students who were able to make it out to meet with Reid from the Herff Jones Year Book Company.

He introduced us to his company's year book program. It is certainly user friendly.

This is the link to the Herff Jones worksite.

You have been added as Assistant Advisers; this is a title that you can use on resumes for job applications and I am more than happy to provide you with a letter of reference for this same purpose.

But...you will have to work for it. Here is our to do list:

  1. Review our page organization;
  2. Orchestrate the cover contest and art contest;
  3. Designate pages to assistant advisers;
  4. Upload photos from Mr Bedard's massive cache of photos;
  5. Design pages;
  6. Track school events/ Take photos;
  7. Have the JMS Year Book done by May 12th.

Welcome

Welcome to the JMS Yearbook Team. Our goal is to pull together an awesome collection of memories for the students at JMS in 2013-2014.

Reflect on these questions:

What events were and will be a highlight at JMS this year?
What groups, teams or clubs need to be featured in the yearbook this year?
How can we be inclusive? How can we represent the diversity at JMS?
What is popular and of interest to the preteens/teens at JMS and how can we reflect those interests in our product?
What types of student work should we feature in our product?

Look at yearbooks from previous years. Reflect:

What worked?
What didn't?
Add to your other responses.

Map out our yearbook.

Using the template and your responses, map out what you feel should be included in our yearbook.

Cameras.

Take your yearbook camera on a trip around Journey. The theme: "A student's point of view".
